Including the things KrewSynk doesn't do — better you know now than after you've moved your crew onto it.
Getting started
Most companies are scheduling within an afternoon. You pick your trade at signup, add your people, and add the jobs you have running. There is no implementation project and nobody has to come to your office.
The field app does four things — see today's work, clock in and out, take photos, and look at the prints. Most crew members work it out on the first morning without being shown.
Yes, and you should — a system with last year's history in it is far more useful than an empty one. Get in touch and we'll help you move what you have across.
Any trade that runs crews on jobs. The work KrewSynk manages — scheduling people, tracking hours, documenting jobs with photos, getting change orders signed — is the same whether you do roofing, flooring, wallcovering, sitework, masonry, mechanical or anything else.
You tell us your trade when you sign up, and the parts that vary by trade — material spec fields, starting templates, toolbox calculators — are set up to match. If you don't see your trade listed, pick the closest one or choose Other; nothing about the software is locked to the list.
The mobile app
You can manage from it. If you have the permission, the app will let you build the schedule for any date, send it to everyone on it, announce something to the whole company, raise a change order and capture the signature, and manage a job's punch list.
All of it is permission-gated, so a crew member opening the same app sees their own day and nothing else — the controls aren't hidden from them so much as not there.
The app keeps working. Clock-ins, punch list items and photos queue up on the phone and sync when service comes back. The original timestamp is kept — a punch that syncs at 4pm still records that it happened at 6:52am — and entries that synced late are flagged so the office can review them.
No. Location is captured at exactly two moments: when someone clocks in and when they clock out. There is no background tracking and no continuous monitoring — the app requests "While Using the App" location permission only, so it cannot follow anyone once it is closed.
This matters both ways. It is the honest answer to a crew member who asks whether the boss can see where they are, and it keeps you out of a conversation you do not want to be having.
No — that's a company setting, and you can turn it off. In schedule-based mode, hours come from the schedule you already built: nobody clocks in anywhere, the clock disappears from the app and dashboard, and no location is recorded at any point.
Plenty of contractors already know who was where and just want the hours to line up. If that's you, run it that way — you keep everything else and skip the part your crew would grumble about.
Usually, yes. GPS is satellite-based and separate from cell service, so a basement or a rural site with no bars will still normally get a fix. The punch is recorded either way — a missing location doesn't stop someone clocking in.
Both. The same features on each.
Billing
Yes — 30 days, no credit card, no sales call. If you do nothing at the end of it, nothing is charged.
The account goes read-only. You can still see everything, you just can't add to it, and your data is kept while you decide. Nothing is deleted the moment the trial ends.
One price for the whole company, based on how many people have a login. Every plan includes every feature. See pricing for the tiers.
Yes, from the billing page in your account. No phone call and no retention script. You keep access to the end of the period you've already paid for.
Your data
Only your people. Every record belongs to your company and is scoped to it — one company cannot see another's jobs, crew, hours or photos.
Yes. It's your data and you can export it. If you ever leave, you take your job history with you.
You deactivate them rather than deleting them. They lose access immediately, and their hours and the work they did stay attached to the jobs they worked on — which is what you want when a job comes back a year later.
What it doesn't do
No. KrewSynk picks up once you have the work. You can record an estimate against a job to track profitability, but you won't build a bid in it.
Not today. It tracks job costs, hours and signed change order values so you know what to bill — but the invoice itself still goes out of your accounting system.
No. It manages jobs, crews, hours and job documentation.
